William B. Underwood, III
Bill graduated from the University of Houston in 1980 with a B.B.A.; M.B.A. 1981; and J.D. 1986. He is listed in Who’s Who Among American Law Students, Young Community Leaders in America, Who’s Who in International Business, and Who’s Who in American Law. Bill Underwood is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate and Civil Pre-Trial Advocate, National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was selected to the 2011 and 2012 edition of Texas Super Lawyers. Bill is AV (highest) rated by Martindale Hubbell.
He is a member of the American and Texas Bar Associations. Bill’s practice includes complex litigation issues of all types, including administrative issues before state agencies, aviation litigation; construction litigation; insurance coverage and indemnity; commercial litigation; insurance agency issues; maritime litigation; Jones Act; general corporate; international law and personal injury.
He is also heavily involved in numerous business transactions for many clients. Prior to his legal practice, Bill progressed in his career in the insurance industry from an adjuster to Executive Vice President of a regional insurance broker. W. Russ Jones
Russ graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Political Science in 1980 and from the University of Houston Law Center with a Juris Doctorate in 1985.
Russ was an associate editor of the University of Houston Law Review and co-authored a chapter in The Law of Texas Medical Malpractice, 2d Edition (1984). Russ has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1991. Russ has specialized in medical malpractice litigation for over 23 years and is a frequent lecturer to physician’s groups on various medico-legal topics.
Russ has co-authored several chapters in both medical and legal textbooks on medical malpractice litigation, and is an Adjunct Professor in the Legal Studies Department at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Russ’ practice includes complex medical malpractice litigation, insurance litigation, personal injury litigation, consumer litigation and probate litigation. In his 24 years of practice, Russ has been involved in over 100 jury trials.
Robert Scherrer
Bob received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and his law degree from South Texas College of Law.
He has been licensed to practice in Texas since 1988. Bob has specialized in medical malpractice ligation for more than 21 years. He also specializes in products liability, trucking, premises liability, employment law and employment discrimination litigation, shareholder rights, business formation and business litigation, security litigation and general, complex, multi-party litigation. He also has extensive experience in the preparation and litigation of wills, trusts and estates.
He has also worked with various licensing agencies with respect to the licensing of physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other healthcare workers. Bob has been board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1994. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, as well as other professional organizations.
